| Biography: |
Demetrius "Double-D" Jones is one of the top prospects in the Land of Lincoln. Jones is a dual-threat quarterback and he has already been compared to former Chicago (Mt. Carmel) quarterback Donovan McNabb. Jones threw for 2,300 yards and 25 touchdowns as a junior. He also rushed for 1,100 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Jones reports a 3.3 GPA/22 ACT.
Jones - "I think what I bring to the table is leadership. I do a good job of getting my teammates confidence up. I can run or throw. I make good decisions and I'm always looking to get better.
"I've got great leadership skills…I mean I'm the commander-in-chief of the offense. In clutch situations, I can throw it deep or short and I use my feet well to create plays. I can roll well to the left or the right. I need to work on gaining a better release, and reading defenses quicker. I also need to work on my footwork."
