Assembly Hall (Holly Smith)		By Jack Lyman InsideIllini.com staff Date: Oct 9, 2009 The Fighting Illini's version of Midnight Madness takes place on the evening of October 16 beginning at 6:30pm. Called "Spike The Record At Illini Madness," the big event serves two functions. Illinois will introduce both its women's and men's basketball teams at the conclusion of the important volleyball matchup between Minnesota and the Illini.
