Fighting Illini Finish Second In Big 10

Bruce Weber (AP)		By Jack Lyman InsideIllini.com staff Date: Mar 8, 2009 The Fighting Illini basketball team completed its improbable return journey from oblivion by finishing second in the rugged Big 10 Conference race completed Sunday. Thanks to wins by Iowa over Penn State and Michigan State over Purdue this weekend, the Illini tie Purdue for 2nd and are the second seed going into the Big 10 Tournament.
