A sellout crowd was electric from the start, providing the extra impetus for the Illini basketball team to put away the tough Purdue Boilermakers Sunday, 66-48. Illinois Coach Weber celebrated his 250th victory as a head coach while being the first and possibly only team to sweep the Boilers during the conference season.
