Fighting Illini Overpower TAMUCC Islanders

Demetri McCamey (Holly Birch)		By Jack Lyman InsideIllini.com staff Date: Nov 16, 2008 The Fighting Illini played by far their best basketball of the young season, producing a convincing victory over an athletic Texas A & M--Corpus Christi team, 72-53 Sunday in the Assembly Hall. This game, part of the South Padre Island Tournament, had the makings of a possible upset, but strong defense and aggressive play allowed Illinois to overpower the Islanders.
