Victor Nelson Healthy, In Top Shape Now

Maine South High School has been a football powerhouse in the Chicago area for a number of years. They have talented athletes, are well coached, and have excellent facilities. Their top player this year is Victor Nelson, a tall offensive tackle who is near complete recovery from off season shoulder surgery. He is high on the Illini recruiting list.

Victor Nelson has been under the recruiting radar as he recovers from January shoulder surgery. Fortunately, he says the problem was less severe than first thought. "I didn't tear it, but I stretched out my labrum which caused a bone break. So there was a piece of bone floating around in my shoulder. It was repaired arthroscopically."
