The Arizona Cardinals win over the St. Louis Rams was a tale of two halves. Find out if the Cardinals made the marks...
REPORT CARD VS. RAMS
PASSING OFFENSE: B --
Kurt Warner
completed 15-of-19 for 203 yards two touchdowns before leaving with a head injury.
Matt Leinart
didn't look sharp, but the Cardinals also scaled back the offense when the backup entered the game.
RUSHING OFFENSE: A --
The Cardinals rushed for a season-high 183 yards, but only 57 in the second half. Still, the club is averaging 162 yards rushing over the last three games.
PASS DEFENSE: A --
The Rams have a horrible pass offense, so the Cardinals didn't face much of a challenge. The Cardinals sacked
Marc Bulger
three times and intercepted one pass.
RUSH DEFENSE: B --
Steven Jackson
gained 116 yards but had to work hard for most of them. He had a 48-yard gain. The Cardinals geared up to stop the run and it worked, for the most part.
SPECIAL TEAMS: C --
Punter
Ben Graham
was solid once again, but the other units faltered a bit. The coverage teams didn't play as well as usual, and the return game isn't giving the team much of a boost. Kicker
Neil Rackers
didn't execute on a pooch kick.
COACHING: A --
The Cardinals were sharp in the first half, with the offense playing about as well as it could. The defensive game plan to stop Steven Jackson worked well. The Cardinals wanted to force Marc Bulger to make plays and the Rams passing game wasn't up to the task.
