Michael Buchanan Ends Suspense, Picks Illini

The Fighting Illini football team got a big lift Tuesday evening when Homewood-Flossmoor defensive end Michael Buchanan selected Illinois. After two other defensive end commits became academic casualties, the Illini needed a top player for the position. Buchanan has unlimited potential.

Michael Buchanan kept everyone in suspense until the last minute, selecting Illinois over Big 10 rival Purdue Tuesday evening. The Homewood-Flossmore product is a 4 star recruit and brings leadership and athleticism to the Illini team.
