Giving a better look to all sports last week for the Fighting Illini. Each week we'll have an update on the entire sports world for Illinois athletics.

Former Illini WR Brandon Llyod, now with the Chicago Bears led the team with six receptions for 124 yards in a 27-24 overtime loss to the Tampa Buccaneers on Sunday.

2008 college football rankings Illinois remained in this week's polls, AP Top 25 #22, and the USA Today poll at #21.

DB Donsay Hardeman from Jacksonville Florida, is expected to play when the Illini take on Penn State Saturday at University Park, Pennsylvania.

Cross Country runner Kristin Sutherland was names co-Big Ten Runner of the Week. Sutherland led a field of 234 runners with a first place finish.

Soccer, the 23rd ranked women's team boasted a 3-0 victory over the Washington Huskies. The Illini now are ranked 17th in the nation with Sunday's victory.
