This week was tough on the Fighting Illini men’s basketball team, but another win over the Missouri Tigers should help ease the pain felt in last weeks lost to Miami Ohio.

With 35 seconds to go senior Shaun Pruitt scored the go-ahead basket to give Illinois the win over the Missouri Tigers 59-58.

This was another defensive battle for Illinois; they held the Tigers to a season low 35% FG shooting and kept them way below their scoring average of 85 PPG.

Illinois now has a record of (7-4) and hopefully gain some momentum heading into their next game December 28th against Loyola at Assembly Hall in Champaign.

Illinois was led in scoring by Pruitt with 14 points and shooting guard Trent Meacham with 13. The Tigers were led by Leo Lyons with 15 points before fouling out.
