Illinois Stars Classic

Peoria Illinois is considered one of the nation’s hotbeds when it comes to high school basketball. This weekend Peoria will showcase the next stars to come from the area. InsideIllini.com will be in attendance this weekend with some of the states best players that will be in participating in this event. Read here for a list of some of the teams and game times.

Tournament Director Marcus Fair of the Illinois Stars has done a great job of putting together a top notch this weekend. However it’s not the only games being played in the state of Illinois. Most of teams in Peoria will play at Washington High School and the Peoria Academy The Old Gold Run N' Gun Classic will be held at Hales Franciscan High School, Riverside-Brookfield Shootout at their high school and the The Hoop Fest in Deerfield, Illinois Joy of the Game.

Here’s a list of several teams participating in Peoria this weekend: The Illinois Stars, Milwaukee Runnin Rebels, Spiece Indy Heat, Memphis Stallions, Illinois Wolverines, Quad City Select, STL Gameface, North Carolina Bulldogs, STL West Press and the Washington Panthers.

Illini target D.J. Richardson will play his fist game at 4:00 p.m. against the STL Enforcers. InsideIllini.com will keep you updated on all these teams.

Quad City Select 16U guard Kannon Burrage said, “This will be a great tournament for a lot of teams and players to showcase their skills, you don’t play hard you could get embarrassed.”
