News and notes from Illinois' 83-80 overtime win over Indiana.

- Illinois has won 11 of 12 games against Indiana in Champaign and evened the all-time series against the Hoosiers at 85-85.

- The Illini improved to 67-42 all-time in Big Ten openers, 44-17 when beginning conference play at home and 23-5 at State Farm Center in conference openers. UI has won 12 of its last 15 league openers.

- Illinois won it's first overtime game of the season and improved to 3-6 in nine all-time overtime games against Indiana.

- the Illini forced a season-high 23 turnovers, marking the most since forcing 24 against Northern Colorado on Dec. 12, 2010. UI notched a season-best 12 steals and posted a 25-11 advantage in points off turnovers.

- Illinois outscored Indiana 32-12 in points in the paint, marking a season-high +20 advantage in the category.

- The Illini held the Hoosiers to one field goal over the final 11:44. After Yogi Ferrell hit a 3 with 6:44 remaining in the second half, IU did not make another basket until Ferrell connected on a 3 with four seconds remaining in overtime.

- Junior Rayvonte Rice scored his most points as an Illini with 29, matching his career high from Drake. Rice hit a season high 11-of-15 free throws, including the final two of the contest that sealed the three-point win.

- Rice led the Illini in scoring for the 10th time this season and registered his sixth 20-point game. He also had a team-high eight rebounds, leading the Orange and Blue for the fourth time this year.

- Junior Tracy Abrams turned in an efficient effort, hitting a season-high 8-of-12 from the field for 17 points.

- The back-and-forth contest had 12 lead changes and a season-high 17 ties.

Illinois had its first sellout of the 2013-14 season with 16,618 fans filling State Farm Center on Tuesday.
