Rayvonte Rice continues to pile up the points and, in the process, accolades.
The junior guard was named Co-Big Ten Player of the Week on Monday, the second time this season Rice has earned the honor.
He scored a season-high 28 points and had seven rebounds and three assists in Saturday's win against Illinois-Chicago at the United Center.
Rice was especially potent in the second half, pouring in 16 points to help erase a double-digit halftime deficit.
The Champaign native is currently second in the Big Ten with 18.2 points per game and has notched 20 points five times.
Rice shared the award with Michigan State's Keith Appling. Wisconsin forward Nigel Hayes was named Freshman of the Week.
