Ohio QB Chayce Crouch went into Wednesday without an Illinois offer, but left an Illinois commit.

Quarterbacks are scarce in the class of 2014, but Illinois targeted Newark, Ohio QB Chayce Crouch, and after extending an offer following a workout Wednesday, Crouch responded with a commitment to the Illini.

Crouch, who attends a smaller school in Ohio, had an impressive performance in the state title game against another Illinois target Adam Bertke.

Crouch will join Illinois QB's Reilly O'Toole, Aaron Bailey, and Chase Haslett on the roster once he arrives.
