Clark Closing in On Boiler Offer

Fort Wayne (Ind.) South Side class of 2014 cornerback Donovan Clark talks about Purdue junior day.

Fort Wayne South Side junior Donovan Clark is a quick footed cover corner who visited Purdue for their junior day on Sunday.

"It was nice," the 5'10, 170-lb Clark said. " The school was beautiful. I didn't get to know the defensive backs coach as well as I wanted, but other than that, I had a great time."

Clark has an offer from Indiana, where he visited and is also hearing from Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, and others.

He believes the Boilermakers may be the next program to add to his list.

"They're real close to offering," he said.

The hold up?

"They said the staff wants to offer but Coach Hazell is an old school guy and really wants to sit down and see my character or at least over the phone." Recommended Stories
