Jack Ford, a 6'6, 265-lb offensive tackle from Cadillac High chose Central Michigan today over another MAC offer from Toledo, and he says it was more than one thing about the Chippewas which lead him to the decision.
"I made the choice for several reasons. It's close to home, Coach Cummings is a great coach who I am excited to work for, they have a great program that is on the rise and I want to be part of that!"
The Chippewas were also the first to offer Ford.
"They were completely honest with me throughout the entire process, and I like all the coaches and feel that I am as much a good fit for them as they are for me."
Ford was a two-way guy for the Vikings last year, but is being recruited as an offensive tackle.
