Minnesota Commit Matt LaCosse Visits Illini

Many high school football players make early commitments, only to find out they really prefer some other school later in the recruiting process. In the case of Matt LaCosse, a Minnesota commitment is on hold because the head coach was fired recently. LaCosse has reopened his recruiting and visited the Illini campus for the Indiana game.

Matt LaCosse is a talented athlete from Naperville North High School. He committed to Minnesota in the spring but is reconsidering after their coach Tim Brewster was fired mid season. "I'm still committed there. I still don't know who the new coach is. I did tell them I would have to look at my other options too, just in case someone comes in I don't like."
