Fighting Illini defender Brandon Denmark was in on the opening kickoff of the season, so he fits the mold. He must continue to develop physically and gain experience in his role, but he's off to a good start.

Brandon Denmark was a highly rated outside linebacker at James Rickards High School in Jacksonville, Florida, last year.
